Pictorial representations of the songs encourage a visual and kinesthetic engagement with the music. A variety of games and learning activities make sure that practicing is enjoyable.

Filled with rich watercolor illustrations by artist Tony Sansevero, Book 1 opens a magical world for the child just beginning on the violin.[/vc_column_text][/vc_tab][vc_tab title=”Details” tab_id=”1435030877-1-1″][vc_column_text]The songs in Book 1 are easier than those in the corresponding Suzuki book, allowing the beginning child to enjoy having a wide repertoire while still working on posture and tone.

Students use movable-DO solfegge to transpose the songs into various keys; they enjoy the “puzzle” quality of this activity and spend much more time practicing because they are being engaged mentally in an enjoyable way.

Songs are learned initially on piano. Children “earn” their violin by mastering songs on the piano and perfecting simple exercises which build arm strength and body awareness and prepare their violin form. These movements are enjoyable and easily perfected by a young child, so the transition to the violin feels graceful and natural.[/vc_column_text][/vc_tab][vc_tab title=”Skills” tab_id=”1435033232287-2-8″][vc_column_text]Technical skills
